Ignoring a baby is disastrous for their brain development
No matter how small your child is they have a dire need for contact with you.
That is shown in this film from Harvard University. It includes a simple example of how a baby responds to their mother who really makes contact with her baby when baby is babbling. There is also an example of that same baby’s strong reaction to their mother when she does not respond to her baby’s communication.
