Vacation Checklist: What to take with you for your baby?

Many families take too much when they go on holiday. Logical, because of course you want your baby to miss nothing. With this Vacation Checklist you know exactly what to take with you for your baby.

This list of products is enough for one week. If you go longer you can wash an extra time or take some more with you.


1. Clothing

  • 7 Rompers or 7 Underwear sets
  • 1 Swimsuit
  • 2 Long trousers
  • 4 Shorts
  • 7 T-Shirts
  • 1 Vest
  • 1 Sweater
  • 4 Pairs Socks
  • 2 Pairs of shoes (some of which have a pair of water shoes)/Booties
  • 2 Sun Hats
  • 1 Sunglasses
  • 2 Pajamas
  • 1 Summer sleeping bag

2. Personal Care

  • 1 Baby monitor
  • 2 Hydrophilic cloths
  • 1 Bathrobe
  • 1 Pack of diapers (the rest you just buy on vacantion)
  • 1 Pack of billets
  • 1 Small bottle of shampoo
  • 1 Small bottle of soap-free wash gel
  • Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • Towels

3. Food and drink

For bottle feeding:

For breastfeeding:

  • 1 bottle and a teat for babies breast (useful if your baby needs extra moisture)

4. Transport

  • Car seat (if you go on holiday by car)
  • Stroller / buggy / abdominal or back carrier
  • Pram parasols
  • Sunscreen for car seat

5. Safety

  • Armbands
  • Wristbands (with your name and phone number on it)

6. “Your own pharmacy”

  • First aid kit including plasters, drawing tweezers and disinfectant
  • Vitamin D
  • Diacure or Imoium (against diarrhea)
  • Paracetamol for babies
  • Anti-mosquito oil
  • Soothing agent in insect bites
  • Thermometer
  • Sunburn for children
  • After-sun

7. Very handy

  • Toys
  • Booklets
  • Playpen or plaid
  • Teether (handy if your baby suddenly gets a tooth)
  • Anti-spill cup
